Triamcinolone cream is a medium potency topical corticosteroid that is used to reduce inflammation, redness, and itching.  It is indicated for topical use for skin conditions that respond to steroid treatment.  It is often used to help treat skin reactions due to a rash, insect sting, or topical ittitant like poison ivy.
